Four years ago, redditor and D&D gamer u/Doomdecahedron shared a tragic tale about a Brass Dragon named Barnaby. "He was like a puppy," said u/Doomdecahedron, "He gave us shade from the desert sun with his wings and wanted to hear all about our adventures. When we tried to leave, he got real sad and told us to keep talking with him." One day, their bard charmed Barnaby so that he would gather goods to throw the PCs a party when they planned to return four moons from the time they left, which Barnaby interpreted as two days (since their world had two moons). Barnaby flew off to prepare for the big party. The bard had been lying, and the PCs had no intention of returning. In his sad confession, u/Doomdecahedron said, "I just can't stop imagining poor Barnaby, wearing a little party hat, all alone at a celebration that nobody else showed up for."
